Datura
was created from the ashes of Death Certificate in 2001.
The
band is currently composed composed of Christophe (lead guitar), Guillaume
(drums), Alex (guitar), Alban (vocals) and Julian (bass guitar).
One
year later, Datura records its first demo called “Divine Decay”,
featuring 3 tracks of melodic brutal death metal, produced by Mickael Vallesi
from the band Furia.
Thanks to a lot of enthusiastic chronicles (Metallian and many fanzines/webzines),
Datura was given the opportunity to perform concerts with bands such as Sublime
Cadaveric Decomposition, Gronibard, Recueil Morbide, Ingrowing, Stumpfucking,
Inhumate...
Thereafter,
the band started recording its first album, with Mickael Vallesi once again,
during 3 weeks (august-september 2004), in “la Cave à Musique”
- Macon.
“The Darkest Hours...” (co-produced with DEADSUN Records) is featuring
9 tracks of melodic and brutal death metal, where sharp riffs are mixing with
arpeggios and more atmospheric passages.
Datura
is now looking for a lot of tour dates, in order to promote this album all
over France and Europe...
